Prior to 2014, many runways and stadiums used rubber particles from recycled waste tires, cable skins, and soles. Waste rubber represents industrial hazardous solid waste that can cause PAHs to exceed safety standards. Numerous schools experienced issues with "odorous runways and playgrounds" leading to student health problems including runny nose, allergies, skin irritation, dizziness, and nausea - incidents commonly referred to as "toxic runway" events.

The new EPDM colored rubber particles offer significant benefits including health safety, non-toxicity, environmental friendliness, and durability. These materials are widely used in sports venues such as plastic tracks, basketball courts, tennis courts, gymnasiums, community leisure squares, and kindergarten non-slip areas.

Our company has been actively involved in the EPDM granules industry since 2015, collaborating with Qingdao University of Science and Technology on research projects. We have supplied EPDM granules production lines to numerous domestic companies and contributed to process improvements including sulfur addition processes and extruder head temperature control.
